You couldn't really say that the B is having a Bad Hair Day, but it is definitely having a Hair Day.

Iz, The galah is gawgeous.

Hey, MJ, how do you know that bunny didn't spend hours getting its hair to look exactly like that? It probably had one of those celebrity stylists.

At first glance this picture seems to depict a tranquil scene, as some Thomson Gazelles stand on the plains of the Masai Mara in Kenya. But look again and you notice there is a certain nervousness about the gazelles, and with good reason - if you look really hard you can see a well-camouflaged cheetah stalking them. The shot of this camouflaged big cat and subsequent chase was taken by wildlife photographer Richard Costin from Kent who had been tracking the predator for a few days.

Richard, 29, said: “The cheetah stopped in its tracks and looked intently into the distance. Experience had taught us what this meant. It had spotted some potentially vulnerable prey, gazelles in some longer grass than they ought to be. Although cheetahs have amazing acceleration, gazelles can run for longer so if the cheetah can’t get close before it charges it can be outrun.”

@Roberta,
i can't quite figure out what the otter is doing, or where it's doing it, it's kind of coiled up in some kind of plexiglass like enclosure, looks to be resting quite comfortably though

The Siau Island tarsier (Tarsius tumpara) is considered to be one of the world's 25 most threatened primates, according to the latest update of the IUCN 'red list' of endangered species. Endemic to Siau Island, Indonesia, the tarsier has been assessed as critically endangered.
It is restricted to a very small area and there has been a suspected population decline of more than 80%. It is locally collected as food. Furthermore, an active volcano, Mount Karengentang, dominates more than half of its geographic range .

@msolga,
Even as calves I wouldn't want to be near these elephants when they're playing... stomped feet by proximity and all.

Still, very cute! Very Happy

@tsarstepan,
I wasn't quite certain whether the little elephant who was being stomped on was enjoying the game or not! Wink

@djjd62,
olga, That famed penguin looks lonesome. I wonder if they'll leave him there to languish alone.

Tarsier--beautiful and rare. Baby elephants playing. The guy on the bottom has to learn to take care of himself. The guy on the top looks like he's having fun. Thanks for the pics, kid.

dj, Does that bunny have a hangover? What's on his head? An icebag? Another otter that's hard to see.
