@tsarstepan,
Don't quite know what to say about the cardinal - interesting. Wonder how often that happens.

@hingehead,
Hingehead, that would quite heartbreaking meeting this guy out in the wild and he just gives you this look and walks away. Very Buddhist like. He must know everything.

What a unique beauty! Very Happy

Too young to spread their wings, these adorable week-old grebe chicks get around by hitching a ride on their mum's back. The tiny youngsters bury themselves under the protective wings of their mother and accept food from their father. The family were photographed by Norbert Schuster in the Ruhr river in Germany.

@Irishk,
Beautiful animals, yet again. Worry about the shepherd's teeth, but I suppose a basket handle wouldn't be all that bad.

All these grebes that aren't like my grebes (Venice canal, CA) make me decide to go find a photo..

@Roberta,
Roberta! Keep strong on the bunny and otter daily tradition! Very Happy

And Roberta, those dingos look too civilized. Do you know if they're domesticated or zoo bound?

Irishk? Great trio of photographs. Don't suppose those ants know they're in for a fiery surprise with the jalapeños.

@Irishk,
tsar, Trying to hang in with the B&O. I usually add them just as the sun is rising. Can't tonight. I gotta go to sleep early, so I'll add them at the end of this post. As for the dingos, I do believe they are wild. Can't remember the total story. Sorry.

Irish, The kid and the otter. Great stuff. Wasn't sure they were playing until that telling moment. Loved it.
