@Roberta,
Just a note to thank you again for filling in for dj...wonderful and funny photos. The UKTelegraph (where I find most of the ones I share) did a series of animals sticking out their tongues recently (I posted the one of the bear which was hilarious). They'd have loved to include your otter. Here's another that they featured...

@Irishk,
Irish, Thanks for the tongue sticker-outers. I even like the cutie-pie monkey although I can't stand animals in human clothes. I view this as an indignity. Still, a cute pic is a cute pic. The ostrich photo is wonderful.

Hinge, Is that photo for real? Or is it Photoshopped? If real, amazing! Thanks, kid.

@Roberta,
The photographer said it was a happy accident...
Quote:
The bald eagle may look like it's jet propelled as vapour trails seem to streak across the sky from the bird's talons. The extraordinary moment was captured on camera by Pam Mullins close to her home in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada. She said: "The eagle was just gliding through the sky and I was panning with my camera trying to get a good shot. As I took the photo I just thought I had taken a normal picture. But when I looked back I realised how extraordinary it looked. I thought my photo had been ruined by the jet trails! I don't know if I would have been able to take the photo if I had tried."

Here's a seahorse with a difference. Waves crash around a farm worker as he takes his horse for some exercise in the sea. The pair were given a shock when the usually calm water suddenly surged into a giant wave and engulfed them. Photographer Shlomi Nissim captured the moment as he walked along the shore. Shlomi, from Herzeliya, Israel, took the photo on a nearby beach.

@Irishk,
It's quite a photo by Pam Mullins. I tried to be witty and use just two exclamation points, alluding to the jet trails, but that was too small a post to stick.

@ossobuco,
Ha ha! I think the photo is pretty extraordinary even without the vapor trails...but those, accidental or not, just make it amazing.

I wonder the terror that's going through the horse's mind at that moment.

Something on the lines of "What is this wall doing here?" and "This isn't going to end well!"

@alex240101,
I saw that video Alex. Very cute indeed.

Here's a photograph I had taken of a married pigeon couple here in NYC:

Irish, Wonderful shot. I'm rooting for the boid. BTW, look at the fish in the water. I assume they're the dark spots. The man's face in the horse/man shot doesn't look real. The rest of the picture does. It's an amazing shot. (I think I'm becoming too skeptical.) Love the penguin and the kid. Intesting idea to have a beach at the zoo where people can interact with penguins.

Alex, Sweet, sweet, sweet. I think the kitten was dreaming. My cats would be asleep and their legs would start moving. A snuggle from Mom ended it.

Penny, Nice to see you here. I saw that picture on your post, and I thought it would be a great addition to this thread. Great minds think alike. Who's the third pigeon? The brother-in-law?

There goes Peter Cottontail ...
