@hingehead,
Irish, Gawgeous hawses. (That's how we tawk in my neck of the woods.)

Hingehead, Merci for the wonderful pics of the solendons. You're right. They're often photographed as ugly. As for the hungness of the white horse, only a mare might be concerned. He's putting up a helluva fight.

@MontereyJack,
Jack, If you've got hair, you'll have a bad hair day. I'm sure that includes wolves--with or without manes.

watched a british show the other day and they were talking about Fallow Deer and Exmoor Ponies, pretty cool animals

the deer in the show where like the black one in the background

The Fallow Deer (Dama dama) is a ruminant mammal belonging to the family Cervidae. This common species is native to western Eurasia, but has been introduced widely elsewhere. It often includes the rarer Persian Fallow Deer as a subspecies (D. d. mesopotamica), while others treat it as an entirely different species (D. mesopotamica).

Exmoor Ponies

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/04/Exmoorponys.jpg/800px-Exmoorponys.jpg

The Exmoor pony is a horse breed native to the British Isles, where some still roam as semi-feral livestock on Exmoor, a large area of moorland in Devon and Somerset in southwest England. The Exmoor is one of the British Isles mountain and moorland pony breeds, having conformation similar to that of other cold-weather pony breeds. They are hardy and used for many activities, as well as contributing to the conservation and management of several natural pasture habitats. Ponies were first mentioned in Exmoor in 1086, though a breed society was not formed until 1921. The breed nearly became extinct following World War II, and today is at "critical" status by the Equus Survival Trust, with a worldwide population of about 800 animals, with between 100 and 300 active adult breeding mares in existence.

@djjd62,
dj, The fallow deer are beautiful. The ponies are also beautiful. Thanks for both. The bunny is cute (there's a shocker). The otter is beyond wonderful today. As for the pun, go stand in a corner. (Good one, but still.)

tai, It's nice to see humans helping out a reptile. Thanks for the pic, kid.

@Roberta,
the ponies in the show were being trained to be logging ponies, in teams of two they're used to pull logs out of forests, the horses seem to like the work, can get to places that vehicles can't and are easier on the environment
