@Arella Mae,
Arella Mae, I'm not up on bunny info, but I don't think there are nearly as many kinds of wabbits as we've seen here. Remember one kinda wabbit could come in many different colors.

Otters in captivity would be pally with people. Wild otters, not so much.

I've recovered from the panda video and must be on my way.

Endangered Rothschild giraffes are trans-located to Ruko Game Conservancy by barge, making this the first ever attempt to carry giraffes across water in Kenya. The project, supported and executed by The Northern Rangelands Trust and Samatian Island Lodge - a luxury camp situated on a private island in Lake Baringo - took four years to plan as, according to NRT director Ian Craig, giraffes are some of the most difficult animals to move.

A male cheetah cub is weighed in a bucket at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Virginia, US. After two cubs were born in December to different mothers, the male cub was placed with the female cub and her mother, Zazi, as female cheetahs don't produce enough milk when only a single cub is present. The male cub weighed in at ten pounds, and the female at nine pounds.

@ossobuco,
Dolphin wide receiver: Louie swims around in his new digs at the Dolphin Research Center in Marathon, Fla. The marine mammal was found washed up and suffering from oil contamination on Louisiana's Port Fourchon beach last September. He was brought back to health at New Orleans' Audubon Nature Institute, where he presumably got the ball. Linda Erb, director of animal care and training at the Florida Keys research center, will be throwing him passes from now on.

I haven't a clue as to what type of birds these are. I find them strange, comical and fascinating at the same time. Anyone know what they are?

sometimes you have to wonder what animals think is happening to them, i was watching a british farm show the other day, and the farmer was putting his young rams through a CT scanner to get an image of the cuts of meat to help him choose the best for breeding, the ram is sedated, but conscious, strapped into a half round form and scanned, they showed the procedure and after the ram is returned to the pen, i wonder if he tries to explain what just happened to him

baaa baa baaaaaa baaa baa baaaaa*

* you're not gonna believe what i just went through

@djjd62,
Haha...I did wonder when I saw the photo if maybe the giraffes had gotten mild sedatives to make the trip less traumatic. It could've been a disaster if they'd become panicky on that barge, I imagine.

Correct. They are Dalmatian Pelicans (or at least they look like Dalmatian Pelicans, with those mop-top head feathers).
