Doesn't this thread just brighten your entire day? Roberta started it 4 years ago this month! Best. Thread. Ever.
This is the first thread I visit everyday. I am always seeing something to make me smile, learning something new, or just basking in the beauty of nature and the warmth of friends on this thread.

@firefly,
I second what Miss Roberta said about the seals and birds. I want to know who their make up artist is!

Whoa! Where did her post go?

@Arella Mae,
Arella Mae, I had written a long, long response to all the pictures. When I posted the last response, I forgot to copy the rest of it to the thread. Instead I copied a picture and lost the long response. Phooey. I got disgusted and deleted everything. I'll try to recreate everything later.

Food fight!
http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01815/leopards-python_1815807i.jpg
A python became the focus of an epic tug-of-war between two leopards. The six-and-a-half-foot (2m) long African rock python became the unwilling "rope" in the game, after being caught by a female leopard in the long grass. But as she dragged it, still wriggling, along behind her, she was ambushed by her son who wanted to land the kill for himself. The young male snatched the end of the enormous snake in his powerful jaws, and tried to tug it away from his mother...

@Irishk,
Those penguins look like the macaroni penguins. Maybe they are related. All great pics!

@Arella Mae,
I never realized there were so many varieties of penguins! In the last few months, I bet I've come across at least a half dozen. Cute little critters Smile

@Irishk,
I have a bag of dog food as I live near a busy road and I am forever locking dogs up in my laundry and finding the owners. Once I saved the Pizza shop managers dog and got free pizzas ! Most people just express thanks and it is good to see the relief on their face.

I am just wondering if I stuck some stamps on a puppy if it would get to you.....

I once read about a group that experimented to see what they could mail that way...slapping stamps on coconuts, helium balloons, bricks, etc. Worked pretty well for the most part. They (luckily) didn't try it with animals.

Some MORON in Minnesota apparently tried to mail a puppy in a box today, though. Sad
