@firefly,
firefly, Thanks for the mouse opossum pics. Not sure I've seen these animals before. What beautiful little things they are.

littlek, You talking about the leopard coming down the tree? Helluva sight.

The crows couldn't care less about the drama going on behind them.

This bear looks as if he's waving goodbye to his friends. Sergey Gorshkov spent six years following bears as they hunted for salmon, paddled in a lake and walked for miles through forests. The photographs were taken at Kurile Lake in Kamchatka, Russia, home to more than 18,000 bears...

Mountain Zebra
The mountain zebra is a much more stunning animal than is the Burchells zebra. The mountain zebra has stripes all the way down the legs, & the stripes are much bolder & lack ghosts. This subspecies also has a neck wattle that is lacking in the Burchells. Mountain zebras seem to be less ass-like & appear to be much prouder & bolder. Whereas Burchells zebras tend to wander off quickly when approached, mountain zebras perk up, stand their ground, & snort with curiosity.

MJack, The crows are one of the reasons I was drawn to that picture. Two top predators at war, but nobody's bothering me.

bj, Love dat B&O. Also liked the bunny hopping around the living room. I think that wabbit needs to let out for some exercise.

Irish, Great bear shots, but I have a feeling the salmon wouldn't agree. Love the wave.

firefly, Brilliant zebra pictures. They are spectacular. Thanks for the info about the mountain zebra.

A red crowned crane is pictured in Yancheng, Jiangsu, China. This is one of the winning entries in an international competition to secure images of the 566 most threatened birds on Earth. They are to be featured in a new book, The World's Rarest Birds, which aims to highlight the plight of these endangered birds.
