@tsarstepan,
All the pictures are so beautiful. I love these little red pandas though. They look like little stuffed animals.

More red panda -

I am NOT a red panda. I am a beaver: A red panda cub attacks a conifer at the Calgary Zoo.

The hazards of ornithological photography: Some birds just won't sit still for their portrait - Lenni the Harris hawk, for example. (Mayrhofen, Austrian province of Tyrol.)

I just read an article on Slate about Secretariat. Then I watched the famous Belmont Race, which I'd seen on tv when it was run in 1973. I've turned somewhat against horseracing these days (pros and cons, a lot of cons), but still, I found myself sobbing happily during the videotape.

I liked the article.

tsar and osso, Smiling from dem pics. Baby pandas--giant and red. You can't beat that.

I agree with tsar. The boid is after the camera.

osso, I too tear up from Secretariat. That race still moves and excites me. Thanks, kid.

dj: The duck photos are wonderful. So is that snail. Thanks. And Happy Thanksgiving.
