@ossobuco,
I don't go to the movies anymore, osso.

One of my all-time favorite sports photos:

@Roberta,
Me either. I made up for that in my youth, though.

Was that the time (the Belmont, I think) he won by 39 lengths, or something like that?

@Roberta,
A few years ago, maybe on this thread, I started to go on and on about a great photo of Secretariat as an older horse, you know me and photography madness, but I couldn't find the photo online to prove it was Secretariat. I wrote the secretariat website and got a nicely worded letter back that I was quite wrong, with a true photo of him. He didn't grey as he aged, remained red.

The horse I was thinking about turned out to be Carry Back (however you spell that) as an all or near all white horse. Snort, wrong again.

@ossobuco,
And then there was Carry Back -

Alas, no photo of him as elderly. Who knows, maybe it was another horse whose name started with C.

I do so wish my horse could grow a mane like that. I am thinking of cutting his down to his neck and letting it grow back in. I love those long manes.

@ossobuco,
I am not going to see the movie. Animal movies always make me cry.

Arella Mae, Did you miss the spotted pony? I posted it with you in mind. Scroll back if you want to see a rare beauty.

Tsar, You've outdone yourself, kid. Great deer pic with a Pavarotti chaser. And the seal? What can I tell ya. A great and heartwarming shot. (Looking forward to meeting you on Saturday.)

@Barry The Mod,
Barry, The goat is smiling (wonderful pic), the seal (sea lion?) is smirking, and the raccoon is out cold. This one made me laugh. Thanks kid. Glad to hear you had a wild weekend. Loved Les Mis when I saw it here in NY. And you were in such good company. Lucky you.

Visitors to a zoo were amazed to see a gorilla playing with a Nintendo DS at San Francisco Zoo. Photographer Christina Spicuzza snapped female gorilla Bawang who had managed to get hold of a handheld games console a young boy had dropped into her enclosure. But her new toy soon caught the attention of 20-month-old son Hansani - who came and peered at the game...

Hey, Irish! I love that gorilla pic. He'll probably be a champ in no time. Or the kid will be.

When it comes to Spain and bulls, I always root for the bull. Thanks for that shot.

Arella Mae, Plotzing from the marmosets. Vunderbar. Thanks, kid.

Referred to as Dartmoor's spotted pony. In a woid, wow:

Now THAT has got to be the most unusually marked horse ever. Kind of looks like a dalmation. I love babies!
