tsar, That is one gorgeous picture. Wow. Thanks, kid.

Barry, Thanks for the link. I had no idea that polar bears and huskies could be pals. The other pics are wonderful, especially the snake and the hummingbird. Never saw such a thing.

@Roberta,
I really love the motherly nature of the boxer. Ever vigilant and ever loving! Very Happy

Barry: I heard/seen the short version of the polar bear/husky play but never the academic version. Quite fascinating!

This handsome fella admiring himself is a nuthatch.

Photographer Mark Hancox waited for three weeks in a specially built hide just yards from the pool for the opportunity to get the perfect shot. He snapped the bird as it balanced upside down on a rusty scaffolding pole just millimetres above the pond at a private woodland in Hanbury, Worcestershire

@Roberta,
I'm jealous of the elephants built in snorkel. Looks like he's enjoying himself a bit too much! Smile

IrishK? What a stunning shot of that bird! Takes a patience of a saint to wait that long for a singular shot.

I hope the person who snapped these two was using a long lens.Either that or had long legs to run away quickly....
