Roboida, the incredible lyrebird has probably been submitted before, but just in case anyone would like to see a video, here is one from David Attenborough.

I sat through that video with my mouth wide open! That bird can imitate a camera! And one with a motor drive? WOW! I didn't know a bird could copy other birds like that. He is quite the talented fellowW

For those who like horse racing (I can understand not, for several reasons, but something in me still loves it) - here is a video taken by a camera on the jockey's head..

@ossobuco,
To me, there is nothing more beautiful than to see a horse running. But, I want to see them running in a pasture and not in a race like that. Big Mac, my thoroughbred, was once a racehorse. I can't find any record he ever won anything though. LOL! But he is the perfect horse for me. It is an exhilarating feeling being on the back of that huge animal and flying through the wind. My flying through the wind has only been loping him and not running him. I am not confident enough to run him yet and doubt I ever will be. That is an aweseome video showing just what it is like to be looking through a horses ears while riding.

@Arella Mae,
My biggest gripe about racing is the effort to get them running big lengths while still very young - added to their increasingly fragile leg bone structures with all the breeding of thoroughbreds.

I used to like to go see the races for a while from the infield of Santa Anita and then go across the street to the Los Angeles County Arboretum, which is always beautiful and peaceful... except when the peacocks screeched (those beautiful brats).

@ossobuco,
It has become a huge problem within racing the horses being bred for speed and not for stamina. Take the case of Eight Bells. She ran a race and won (if I remember correctly) and while the jockey was cooling her down she either tripped or stepped in a hole and broke both of her front ankles and had to be put down on the spot. The good that came from Eight Bells' death was breeding practices really came into the light and efforts are being made to regulate them better.

I am so grateful that Big Mac only raced a short while. He is a sturdy horse but I believe racing is extremely hard on them. I would never own a horse and race it.
