Mikey, the monster cat, not the brightest bulb on the chandelier, but funny, goofy, lovable in a challenging sort of way. He made me laugh. I loved that big lug.

Yes, Mikey had a great open face. I loved that face. For those who don't remember and for those who never knew, Mikey is referred to as the monster cat because of his size. He was not fat. He was enormous--22-24 pounds of feline. The size of a small lynx. I bought him one of those cat duplexes--ledges on a high pole. He didn't fit on any of the ledges. A big boychik.
A four-day-old Zedonk, a rare cross between a zebra and a donkey, stands next to her mother at the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve in Lumpkin County, Ga. on Monday. The director of the preserve says it is the first time in 40 years that a zedonk has been born there.
My friend sent me the link to this today. What an adorable zdonk! Lots of mules and many of the zdonks don't have such pretty faces but it's clear to see this little one took on his dad's facial features! How precious!

found this horn worm chomping on my neighbours pepper plant
dj, Holy moley. That's a woim. I would have thought it was a caterpillar. Wow. A vegetarian, I'm assuming. And a great-looking little invertebrate. Thanks, kid.
I did some poking around on google so see what this looks like all grown up. Found some mixed results. It's no longer a worm. It becomes a moth. But what kind?
So DJ? I wonder where these moths got their whole body piercing? Have you thought about getting a whole body piercing yourself? Are they a big fad in Canada?

@tsarstepan,
shortly after the picture was taken i threw the bottom of my croc at him, usually a lover of wild life, but these guys will decimate a crop
I bet there was a lot of mushy guts... postCroc attack. Big bugs = lots of guts. Ewww!

dj, Thanks for the moth picks. And for clearing up the worm mystery. I've looked up worms on Google. Never saw anything that looked like that. Well, sea worms are kinda interesting. Especially the Christmas tree worms. Oops. I guess now I gotta go find a pic.
