@Roberta,
So this is where gummy bears and fish come from.

I'm opposed to eating Swedish fish and other assorted gummy animals out of political opposition to the cruel practice... that and I can't stand the texture of the candy. Razz

Still what a cute little plastic fish. Very Happy

What is that? It seems to have very large ears. I'm guessing baby Kit Fox or something like that?

@Roberta,
Good morning Roberta! This baby hippo is too darn cute. I kind of wish we had a slightly larger perspective on the mother and the pup as they kind of look like bronze statuettes in this photograph.

Anyhow! Thanks for the bit of cuteness on this extra early morning blues day.

@tsarstepan,
I'm a major fan of pygmy hippos. There used to be one at the Bronx Zoo named Morton. They moved him from the front exhibits to one in a remote area. They got him a goilfriend. I gave them their privacy.

Here's different picture. I think it gives you a better perspective:

Shaggy, dusty, and unkempt, the reclusive sloth bear makes its home in the forests of South Asia. Emitting noisy grunts and snorts, it wanders alone, usually at night, in search of insects and fresh fruit.

David Barber, the Queen's Swan Marker, holds a swan during the annual Swan Upping ceremony on the River Thames between Shepperton and Windsor in England on Monday. Swans and cygnets are counted and examined during the ceremony. The five-day census of the swan population dates back to the twelfth century when the Crown claimed ownership of all mute swans. Today, the Crown retains the right to ownership of all unmarked mute swans in open water, but The Queen only exercises her ownership on certain stretches of the River Thames and its surrounding tributaries.

Thanks, all, for the wonderful pics. Tsar, that swan looks like it's wearing some kinda feather cream around it's face.

osso, Camel hair (the kind we're familiar with in coats) is made from a combination of camel hair and wool.
