@Roberta,
Roberta, That stallion was a Royal Lipizzaner. They are the only breed of horse that can jump in the air with all four feet.

msolga will know this one.

From link - New Mexico Horse Project (wild spanish mustangs)

I'm guessing the photo is by Carlos LoPopulo, not sure.

An article about the Project in a recent Alibi, an Albuquerque newspaper:

Knew what it was, Letty. I was teasing. Not sure what you mean about a horse that can jump in the air with all four feet. Any horse that goes over a high fence or hurdle has all four feet in the air.

Thanks for the wonderful little fox, olga.

osso, Love that stretching. Cats seem to do it so well. That horse is making me plotz. Unbelievable. Thanks, kid.

Hiya Alex, Good to see you here. Icy water for sure. Love dem ducks. Thanks.

This thread, and a handful of A2Kers are the only reason why I am still coming here every day. Thanks all!

@dlowan,
Dat's magnum for you - site with major photographers, in case you don't know it.
The photos on a given subject run every few days - easily seen on Slate.com re Today's photos, but the actual Magnum site is far more interesting. I could and have spent hours there.. hours.

@Roberta,
I love zebras. Here is the Florida panther.

http://www.greenexpander.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/gex-florida_panther.jpg

Explanation about the "airs above the ground". The stallion rears up on his hind legs and then manages to get those off the ground as well.

Whoopie, a three-week-old Sykes' monkey, plays with a peanut at the zoo in Hanover. Sykes' monkeys, also known as white-throated monkeys, originally stem from Africa and live on fruit, nuts, buds and insects. Whoopie stuck closely to her mother Maggie in the first weeks of her life but now she jumps and climbs around the enclosure on her own

emshae, I'm taking the liberty of showing the photo from the link you posted. One click shopping on this thread.

Letty, That is one cutie pie panther. I read that the Florida panther is so endangered that Western cougars were imported for breeding purposes.

Olga, I'm beginning to feel overcuted today. Absolutely lovely primate. Thanks.
