@Region Philbis,
1. Great photo, reg. Is that guy posing for us?

2. Pronghorn is no meal for a cheetah. Why? Too big and wrong continent. Nice thought, though. Slurp.

a cool bird blog for you roberta

Birdchick

The Bird Watching Adventures Of Sharon Stiteler

The Bird Chick Manifesto

Welcome to BirdChick.com!

I enjoy birding; freakishly so.

Many people do enjoy birding and some argue over how you should do it.

There’s no right or wrong way to do it, and as long as you aren’t wiping out a whole species by the way you enjoy birds, do what feels good to you.

If you enjoy listing and categorizing every bird you see"that’s terrific. If you like to peek out your window and see a cardinal at your feeder"that’s great. If you think that red-tailed hawk flying overhead is your spirit guide"more power to you.

Just get out there and watch the birds.

-Sharon

it's a cool blog and lots of good pics

Oh, gwow up, wabbit. Herbivores eat herbs, and carnivores eat carns. It's the way of the world.

@djjd62,
I checked it out, dj. Thanks for the link. Love the stonechat. Never even hoid of such a boid. Here's one, after the hunt. (I suppose the wabbit thinks the boid is a moiderer too.):

@Roberta,
Men have died and worms have eaten 'em, but not for love.

But...those worms I'd not mind being eaten by!!!

@djjd62,
Love that photo, djjd - omigod, the poppies, and the cardinal, how I miss them. Well, haven't seen one in person for five decades, so I guess 'miss' is not quite the right word choice. Besides all that, I love photos taken from under a tree canopy with a stretched landscape in the background, and things of interest in front. Not cliched like archway photos so often are, but having some of the same attributes. This photo also works re the light levels..
