@Region Philbis,
With these guys, reg, it's very embarrassed, extremely embarrassed, and very extremely embarrassed. These are not moderate monkeys.

@Izzie,
You're trying to make me cry with the sheep, aren't you? (None around here, for sure).

I guess I have a big sheepo soft spot. I assume I'd get over it if I was around them more, but in the meantime, I dunno, they make me happy.

@Roberta,
What a pretty manakin!

Lemurs and strawberries, from SF Chron

http://imgs.sfgate.com/n/pictures/2009/04/23/strawberries4.jpg

caption - Try the fresh strawberries at Nyiregyhaza Animal Park. We prefer ours without the lemur topping, but either way - scrumptious! Hungarian custom authorities donated 1.2 tons of seized strawberries to the zoo in Nyiregyhaza, Hungary, after discovering that they were used to conceal some 600,000 packs of smuggled cigarettes at the Romanian border.

Love dem geese, dj. Glad to know they're not hams.

I'm remembering seeing several Canada geese in front of my parents' building in da Bronx. A stop along their migratory route--in my home borough. Go figure.
