The Oceanographic Museum (Jacques Cousteau), perched dramatically on the cliff-top in Monaco-Ville, is Monaco's most visted museum. Well, OK, there's not much competition, but it's world famous all the same.

Some more pix from the museum.

This is the third time I'm trying to post something. Will the third time be the charm? We'll see.

Thanks, C.I., for the pix. Next time I'm in Monaco, I'll be sure to stop by.

Here's another shot of a coral reef:

I like your flexibility. I'm not one for change--same avatar, same location, and same signature.

From the same site, here's another of those clouded leopards. These animals are truly amazing-looking.

The moloch or thorny devil of Australia--Moloch horridus.

This is an excellent example of convergence, two unrelated organisms that evolve the same strategy. Note the similarity between it and the horned toad. They both feed on ants and have huge stomachs to hold large quantities of these tiny insects, which are relatively non-nutritious because of their small size. The horned toad is shown in comparison.

Let's see if my fourth attempt at posting here works this time.

dj--Schizo. But in a good way. Smile

Coluber--fascinating info. Thanks. I tried to retrieve a photo posted earlier showing a bird eating one of those critters. Couldn't navigate. Got errored out.

osso--You beat me to the punch, groundhog wise. Thanks. I'm gonna add a photo at the end. I already had it picked out.

Rosborne--Thanks. That butterfly is breathtaking.

C.I.--Thanks for the photos from Central America.

Here's the second groundhog of the day:
