Great to see you again, Francis. That picture has too much cuteness.

@Roberta,
Sozlet and I watched "Growing Up: Marsupial" on Animal Planet and I am now absolutely in love with baby wombats:

They are stupendously cute... little and round and cuddly and they bounce when they up the pace a bit in a stupendously cute way.

@sozobe,
Actually that middle one was labeled a wombat but I think it's a koala...

oh so am I, soz! But I am just as fond of their big, ploddy adult relatives, too!
There is something very endearing about wombats!

Actually, mea culpa, you're right and I am wrong.

I got confused cos I thought it was a front paw, and they have two thumbs on those:

but

a. It's a back paw we can see tha pad of

b. Wombats don't have feet like that....

c. I can see a bit of fuzzy ear.

I can't see your third pic by the way.

Last year the Cincinnati Zoo welcomed two litters of Red River Hogs. Endangered in their native Africa, the Red River Hog, also know as the Bush Pig, inhabits a diverse range of habitats, from rainforests to savannah and mountains. Like most pigs, they are social animal and live in herds of 6-20 members.

On September 29, two jaguar cubs were born at Brevard Zoo. The new arrivals are doing quite well, gaining weight and bonding with their mother, Masaya. They are expected to go out on exhibit for the first time in mid to late November. At this time, the sex of each cub is unknown.
