@hingehead,
Yes, I picked up on this when I was painting houses, as a young tacker.

I'd knock down a wasp nest, and the wasps would just hang there for days, kind of catatonic.

SAIGA

Saiga antelope have survived since the ice ages — the species has shared the world with woolly mammoths and saber-toothed cats. But catastrophic disease and poaching have put the species in a critical place. Photo by Tim Flach

I made a full recovery from googling "cute puppies." I thought I'd give kittens equal time. Still thudding.

Reminiscing about last year's holiday

The Kri-kri's (Capra hircus cretica) last stronghold is among the peaks of the 8,000 ft (2,400 m) White Mountains of Western Crete.

To be fair the ones we glimpsed were inland of the East coast just south of Kato Zakros - so caption is a bit grimmer than it seemed.

SCOTTISH WILDCAT

Scottish Wildcats have much bigger brains than our domestic feline friends. They are one of THE last remaining predators in Scottland and face threats from hybridisation, disease and persecution.
