light in a room

? I live in an old house, think it's older than me & I am over 50.
The light in the ceiling wouldn't work, so I bought a new fixture, it worked one time. Then I bought new light switch, it worked once also and then nothing. There is only 2 copper wires, 1 black & 1 white. Is there something I'm missing or does it need all new wiring?

You going to have a lot of time on your hands with no job, river, so you might as well settle in and get to know a few of the folks here at A2K.

We're a might friendly bunch.

By the way, river, it sounds like you burned out your light bulb. Put in a new one.
