Iam trying to breath some life into my water softner. The computer seems to work but the wheels just don't turn anymore. Iam guessing it is something with the transformer(gets very hot to the touch) or something in the gearbox. I don't know what model it is but I have some pictures of it here
I sure hope you can help me out.
Thanks
Ed

Stuck piston / sheared pin.

Can be fixed with proper tools and parts.
Unplug it for now so the motor does not cook.

Well the pin was sheered and I replaced it and I pulled out the piston and replaced the 3 o rings. Didn't have any luck it seems the motor just don't have the guts to turn the wheels. Do you have any other ideas?
Thanks
Ed

The motor could be toast - is it a 24 volt motor?
They are available, I have a few used ones...
