I bought this print at a garage sale last week and would love to know what it is all about. Please help me identify this painting I'll call "men celebrating" located at

Thank you
Can you see the artist's name anywhere?
At first glance I thought NC Wyeth, but when enlarged I thought I recognized it as by a famous 19thc. Russian artist - now I just have to remember his name... I think it starts with a V.
He did a lot of Napoleon portraits. I'll have a google.

Yes! Vassili Verestchagin (I think I have the spelling, but I could be wrong). I'm also sure the title is not "Men Celebrating", but rather it's showing a famous military event and is named for it.
That's what I thought. It looks like a surrender, or a treaty being signed.
Ooh, you smarties!
I trust it's not the original you bought, but a print...
or is it?
Not so smart so fast.
It's by Ilya Repin and it's called Cossacks:
