What kind of dog is he and how old?

<that's Finn, my ex's dog. (I love her and miss her and wish the ex would take more vacations cause then I get to have her) She has a bad knee, and after running around at a park or some place, we would give her baby aspirin cause we knew she'd be hurting later. Age, you know.
sure is a cutie!!!!

Animals become part of your family, I could not imagine only seeing my dog part of the time.

caribou,
Did you see this (it was one page back) or would you rather not answer.

harley barks at everything! the neighbors, the mail lady, cats, other dogs, even leaves blowing in the yard. haven't tried anything other than yelling at him.

There are anti-barking devices. Some emit noises that only dogs can hear and don't like....

I don't know anyone that's tried them though.
I'm sure you could find some help on the web for antibarking.

If he only barks around you, it could be a protective thing, I guess.

Everyone I know that has seen the Dog Whisper loves it. I've only seen it a couple of times.

My problem with that is it teaches the dog never to bark and there are times you want your dog to bark (strangers on the property etc.).

I don't like the shock collars, but I have seen them work well, when used properly. (like any training device)

The anti-barking thing I'm talking about doesn't shock, just noise that only the dog can hear and doesn't like and it only goes off after a certain period of barking.

The Dog Whisperer
Cesar Millan works like a dog to help beloved pets. His keen ability to communicate with and influence pets has made him a much-sought after expert in dog rehabilitation. His "Power of the Pack" method can change almost any problem dog into a pleasant pooch.

It's on cable. That's why I can only watch it at my parents...
