Well as I told you earlier, we leave March 24th for a 3 hour tour aboard the S.S. Minnow.....oops, wrong cruise. That one was a disaster. just kidding.

Just make sure Joseph Hazelwood is not the captain. Remember that
incident?

OK, here we go, for real this time. We are on a Holland America cruise of the Eastern Carribean. We stop at St. Thomas, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Grand Turk in the Turk and Caicos and at the cruise lines private island.
We've never been on this cruise line and we don't know anyone who has so I really don't know what to expect. We just received our tickets and information package, and reading through the information it seems that this may be on the formal side.
There are 2 formal evenings and 1 informal, the others are supposed to be casual dinners.
We've got a cabin with a balcony at about the mid-level of the ship. We have not been assigned a cabin yet because I took the 'guarantee" option which guarantees you at least the cabin category that you paid for but gives you the opportunity for an upgrade if anything is available.

Looks like everyone is tied up ... I have to relocate and won't be able to join in this afternoon. See ya.

Yeah, we took the bridge tour on the Norwegian cruise that we went on several years ago. It was not a real in depth tour but what we did see was very interesting.

I did too but left when people starting asking dumb questions. They say there are no dumb questions. Maybe that is true than call it annoying people.
The Captain and crew explained the computers on board and the way they steer the ship.
One moron then actually asked and was dead serious "Do you steer the ship with the steering wheel?"

They had a wooden old time steering wheel on the bridge.
