Hi Veterans and Newbie

I,m back again with puzzle number 2,Well, at least it is a puzzle for me.
I bought a goauche painting 18 or so years ago at an estate sale by two brothers.A nice painting with an signature I didn`t recognize, but I did not care , I liked it.Well I,m retired now with lots of time. I thought I would research it.
The painting is 13 tall by 7 1/2 wide ,painted on thin cardboard. It was painted before 1915 ,I can tell this by the out of business art shop sticker on back of painting,The last name of the signature start with a R,then an open o or u then a d ,then he stopped and finished with an i and fancy ending,To me it looks like Rodin, but I maybe streching this a lot,The first name is not an A ,but it looks like E, Rodin used this signature once.I have Jpeg of this below.
Rodin did paint many paintings in the style of Rivier,But I have only seen 4, pointed out to me by Walter H. A "Great Googler"or lot better than me.
What I need to know ,who does it look like painted this painting, by someone else, better than me. This is the best forum I can find for help,
I put on Jpegs to help, maybe they will work this time.

Thanks ,
Newbie Rich

Goauche painting
Hi,

An A.S.A. appraiser dropped the info of the painting off in New York when she went to New York.
She said no painting is on auction records by Rodin that she can find, I don`t know where she took the info ,all I know is she took the info to New York
Therefor she could not give me an appaisel, she said it takes time.
It may be bad if she contacts me to quickly. So I,ll wait.

Puzzle
Hi

The appraiser contacted me and said she is sending to Rodin Musee

Rich

"Kathleen
This does not resemble Rodin's typical drawings of nudes and dancers. It is conceivably a very early work but to get an opinion you would need to consult the Musee Rodin in Paris.

I will now send the images on to the Musee Rodin in Paris as Mr. Tancock at Sotheby's here advised."
