Is there no Top Chef thread?
Does anyone here watch this show as faithfully as I do?

No no no.....Top Chef - the show on Bravo; where they have a dozen or so virtually unknown chefs that compete in elimination challenges each week.
It becomes not only a competition of skills but one of personalities too.

My middle schooler/soon to be a high schooler has decided he wants to attend a culinary school, so cooking shows are popular in my house. Smile

(for the record, I like Bobby Flay too.)

Too bad marycat isn't active these days. She's a graduate chef, and can tell quite a tale about taking a timed practical exam in the midst of a health department inspection.

Me? I can fry a hamburger.

marycat? wow, what a coincidence of names!! lol!

well....Top Chef is addictive - it's a reality show (like many others) and you get to see the behind the scenes interaction between the chefs. Needless to say, you end up rooting for your favorites and dissing the jerks.

I don't watch tv that much anymore, so the only program I used to watch is Iron Chef. I watch the US version once-in-awhile, and enjoy watching Bobby Flay - win most of his competitions.

Yes, I watch Top Chef. Lots of cheaters this season. Tsk, tsk, tsk. And a few people to strongly dislike.

Is it Mike who made the messy sandwich for the TGIF challenge? Don't like him. Can't remember the name of the guy with the weird hair who is rubbing everyone the wrong way. Don't like him either.

I'm rooting for Cliff or Ilon. Sorry if I got the names wrong. I'm bad with names.

Last season they had occasional team challenges. I'm was as mystified then as I am now about how you can extricate a winner and loser from something that was done as a team.

I'm a chef snot.

No interest in this tomfoolery.

That's partially irony and partially true.

I've followed food for decades. No interest in TV moments.. except for actual help for beginners.
