Does this piece have a title? Knowing that might give us an insight of your movitvation for it.
I like many artworks that employ repetition .... Warhol & others. Mostly in paintings & prints. It's intereseting to see repetition used in sculptural form.

OK,people,the piece was carved from a single piece of wood and then painted.
I´d gotten the idea from the nests made by a bird in Namibia.

It´s a relief and over a metre long.Juts out from the wall 20cm or so.Heavy too.

Why, it's pegs... I see pegs for coats that won't give those awful dimples. And the little holes... for gloves and keys and secret stashes.

Just kidding, Hebba, you know I like it. Is it made from a single piece of wood? V. impressive. The grain seems to go lengthwise... making those shapes must have been a bear to do.

I´m very glad you saw coat pegs...am doing a new coat peg series in fact.Time consuming but worthwhile.
