HELP!! what is the name of this foodtv show???

Did you check the FoodTV Network website? They have lists of all their hosts and chefs.

I haven't had cable tv for 5 years now, but I remember Al Roker having made a few guest host appearances on Food TV when I used to watch it.

I don't recall him being a vegetarian cook nor talking about his mother a lot, but he's the only person I can think of that even comes close to the description you gave. Btw, he's not all that chubby anymore either.

Is it possible it was a show on another network not FoodTV?
