My ancient Eco 3002 brine tank is full of water. A tech charged me $85 for a service call during which he tried to clean a valve (I think) but to no avail. He told me parts were hard to get and the best thing (naturally!) would be to buy a new softener from his company.
I'd like to just repair the problem if this is possible. However, I don't know much about softeners so I'm not sure where to start.
Thanks for any advice!

Hey John, is your local tech an ECO dealer?
I would contact the factory, explain your situation and see if they can help you.
