Wow, intriguing indeed!
When I was looking for a picture of Adrian Piper I found a photo of a white woman with a bath towel stuffed in her mouth. I clicked on it to figure out what the heck it was and what it had to do with Adrian Piper, and evidently it was a recreation of something Piper did in Brooklyn. Had a white bath towel stuffed in her mouth, with it spilling down her chest, and went around and -- gathered reactions, I guess.
I think that was called an installation, not sure.
Oh, wow, that sounds interesting; I haven't seen that one. I'm finding there isn't a whole lot of her work online so far; hopefully I can find enough examples to flesh out my presentation. But it's a group presentation and the other people have different artists to talk about, so I'm sure we'll end up with enough stuff.
Found it back, may give you clues to find something about the original. Also has a response letter from Piper.
