Hi,
I am a student working on a scavenger hunt for school and am trying to discover the artist and title of an oil painting. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I put in the image location below.

Thanks again,
John

My guess would be that it is from the period of Romantic landscape painting of the early 19th century...... someone who painted the American west...... so I'm going with Albert Bierstadt.

He would often sillouette people/animals against lakes/ponds/bodies of water -- like you see in this painting.

I won't hazzard a guess on the name of the painting though.
