Sometimes when I try to resave a MicrosoftWord file on my thumb drive (SanDisk cruzer micro) after making additions to the file, I receive a message, "There are too many edits in the document. This operation will be incomplete. Save your work."

I checked and very little of the 1.0 GB disk has files on it.

What is wrong? What should I do to correct it?

Try first saving the edited file to a dedicated folder on your hard drive (a folder on your desktop or in your "My Documents" folder should work fine), then save or copy that folder to your removable drive. If you wish to save successive versions of files deriving from a work in progress to your removable drive, assign each version its own distinctively named folder.
