Intent on the squirrel, JoJo never saw the car.

We're gonna miss her so much.

You have my sincere sympathies. I don't like to think about losing our little doggies, although someday we must.

Thanks Joe - it happened just a few minutes ago - she didn't suffer much, at least - never even yelped. The neighbor who was driving the car is as broken up as we are - he insisted on digging the hole. She's no longer troubled by the arthritis of her old age (she was around 15) - and its good she was running happily when it happened. She died with her dignity intact.

Damn, I'm choked up.

Awwww man.....

So sorry, timberlandko.

One of our dogs died in July and it is still so fresh. I know there aren't any words to make it any easier so I'll just sit here and....

<sigh>

Fifteen years old. JoJo was a lucky dog to have such a caring family.

Go outside and have a look at Sirius tonight. (We can't see such things in the city.)

She'll be brighter tonight.

Be well.

That is very sad.

I do so hope it was quick.

Edit.

Oh, great, it was.

Bless her.

Thanks all - I really appreciate your words of condolence. It helps.

The rest of The Puppies are unusually subdued - they were with us when we laid her to rest - they seemed to know what was going on.

This still doesn't feel real.

Whailing with you, and with your neighbor.

First, feelings for your doggie.
And next, my real life name has sometimes been JoJo. (yadda, re Tucson, Arizona...)

Anyway, real tears.

Good for the short time of it.

Oh, timber I'm so very sorry.

At 15 years old, JoJo is an established, fully-fledged member of your family! This is going to take some getting used to for all of you. Sad

Terribly, terribly sad.

Timber, I am so sorry to hear of Jojo's demise. You're right, she died with her dignity, doing what she probably loved to do.

oh <gulp>

my best memory of spending time with you, timber, is the time we spent with my puppies - and looking at the photos of your tribe that you'd brought along to Ann Arbor

you helped me so much in my early days of pack development. you know and love the critters so much. thanks for being good to JoJo and her pack.

your friend in pet-affection, <glassy-eyed> Beth
