This story that I will tell you, happened a long, long time ago. It was the time when the heavy snows, cast upon its glory in the lonely streets of Paris. It was so cold outside that none from the residence of that area dared to go out and play. Perhaps your great, great grand father could tell you how cold the snow was, or how the breeze gently touched the hill venturing the unfulfilled dreams of many. That night was weary, same as tonight… Are you alone this evening? Is it scary? Do you feel empty or lonely? Might as well, come and sit by the fire, yes, closer and hear me speak. Prologue
Perhaps it was the fault of that blue music box. The way the golden ballerina danced around the square glass platform in the center of the music box, marveling on its flying effect. But what about the broken light bulb? The way it used to mesmerize her heart and it lit up her eyes. Or was it finally the snow? And how it seems to embrace her with its cold warmth…I want to know, to enter her eyes and to venture her heart. But the all I could remember…was how the chirping birds, killed Summer…
Chapter 1: Why?
Pools of Tourmaline locked upon a pair of deep, flaming Zircon eyes. It was of endless darkness, sorrow, emptiness, pain and grief. Perhaps it was rather odd to look into such eyes with pity, even if it belongs to a being or rather a creature almost completely different from you…
"Why?" The wind was so cold. "How?" that night was forlorn. "No…" Yes, it was bitter. Things were drifting back to where they belong. "…but why?" Because that is what it should really be. "And what's next?" So many questions, forbidden answers, something you'll never know. "How could you say that…?" It is because I can. And I am not like you. I will do what I want. I am free, unlike you…unlike you…
He was white and pure. She was forbidden, tainted and forlorn. There are so many rules. Those rules that was set to be followed, but on the long run, one by one, they'll be broken. For love, trust, sanity, faith and belief will be the same hindrance that started the rules on the first place.
She touched his face and gently caressed it. HE was crying. She didn't care. She loved his tears. That's why he shed those for her, only for her. He wanted her happiness. She wanted his pain. She wanted for him to suffer, cry and die. She wanted…wanted…want. She wants it. She didn't need it. HE was happy that she smiles, the smile that turns her deeper, darker, colder and leads her to fall. But he didn't care about that, as long as she was happy because of him…but until when?
"Charlotte…" her dull, zircon eyes traveled from his lips then to his eyes. He couldn't breathe because of their close proximity. Her eyes, even if they were dull, it spoke of many, many hidden things. He wanted to be the same again. But he knew that he can't. It was impossible. "Alexander, do you know why you were here? Do you know why everything started to change? Do you know why this all happened? Do you?" She said in a husky voice. "Sophia…" She caressed his face again. "Alexander. You don't,
I know, because if you knew everything, you would not be here. If you did know about it, you wouldn't make me happy. You didn't, you wouldn't." She lowered her head and looked on those tourmaline eyes. "Alexander, I'm not sorry." She kissed his lips and left him…to this cold, lonesome dungeon. "Charlotte…" only the walls of the dark room witnessed how this young man lost consciousness.
