OK, I have a Rainsoft system. My local reps are quite the same as all I have read about sofar and I get charged for everything. Here is my problem...
My system was beeping to have salt put in. I bought 5 bags of pellets and opened the salt tank. It was FULL. The tech was out here about a month ago because my meter was broken and filled it. Apparently nothing has been going on in a months time. The water here is VERY hard and they suggested an inline filter before the water gets to the tank (we are on a well too).
What I want to know is how to get my $6000 paper weight to work without calling THOSE people again!
Thanks,
Nancy
Nancy,
There are many possible problems...
O rings, clogged injector, pin hole in the brine line, system left on bypass ...
Have you been hit by lightning in the past few months?
Post a picture of your valve and I will try to help.
Regards,
Kevin
What is a valve!
Where should I look for my valve? LOL I can tell you where to find a fuel tank position switch on a DC9 but can't figure out my water softener! How pittiful!
Nancy
PS
Thanks for the fast reply, and we have not been hit by lightning, but our well went dry for about 3 days last month (good old drought in Oklahoma) and the power has failed a few times due to rainstorms but all of the settings on the computer seemed to be right.
The computer is bolted to the control valve that sits on top of the tank.
You can see an older computer on the top of a tank

With your well problems you could easily have dirt and debri in the valve.
I would R&R and clean as much as possible ~ not a DIY job though.
