fixing a clutch on a 5spd 91 mazda miata

the clutch on this car has gone null or limp. The fluid in the reservoir is empty and I put some 3 dot brake fluid in there but the car is still not taking in the fluid or the giving the resistance on the clutch. Any suggestions
