I have got to say, that I think Billy Elliot it possibly the best west end production I have ever seen. It is amazing! I went to see it at the West End recently on my holidays and it is just wow... If anyone here has seen it please post what you thought about it.
A friend of mine saw it a few months back and raved. He said it was wonderful and the kid whp played Billy was incredible!

He was!!! I think everyone should go to see it! Good on them!!!
Billy Elliot
That is SO good to hear! I hope it transfers to Broadway, I absolutely love the movie! I know the cast recording is available, i will check it out!
"Billy Elliot" is scheduled for a Broadway opening in fall 2008. Auditions for Billy and I believe Michael were held last November. Great as the boy playing the role in London obviously is, he would almost certainly be too old for the part by the time it hits New York.
Michael? Of the movie starring John Travolta?
Wow!! What a stretch. I don't know how long it would have taken me to dig that film title out of my memory.
Only that I'm surprised you thought of the film, "Michael", with respect to the character Michael in Billy Elliot. The film, "Michael", is buried so far down in my memory that I really had to tug to correlate your response. The problem is totally mine or that of my jellifying brain.
OH! I get it. Never mind...
I love billy elliot. The only let down for me was the accents as i am from where billy elliot is set the west end performers didnt nail the north east accent
.
