Rain Soft Amazon Gold too long in regeneration.

I have a 4 year old Rain Soft Amazon Gold system. A few weeks ago, our power went in and out all night because of storms. The system was in regen at the time and each time the power came on, it reset and began the cycles over. Since, it has taken up to 7 hours to regen. Night before last I "Fast Forwarded" the regen, and set the valves to bypass mode. Last night, I opened the valves, and hit the regen button and it took about 4.5 hours. Any ideas as to the problem I might be experiencing?

P.S. For H2OMAN, could you send me the photo of the installers book that you mention? I had a handwritten list of the codes at one time, but have lost it since...I don't think any have changed since the machine was programmed years ago (except the u: ).

Thanks!!

I'm thinking lightning + home owners insurance = new system.

I can snail mail you a copy of the installers book if you email me your address.
