Mr B is a White Sox fan. I decided to get him tickets to a Sox game for his upcoming birthday. I'd originally thought of getting him tickets to the Mariners game on Sept 24 (final home game of the regular season). But looking at the schedule, I see that the Sox have a final series with the Tigers earlier in the same week (including his actual birthday).
If you were to receive tickets as a gift, would you rather go to the last home game of the season or to the series against the Division leader?
J_B,
Your post made absolutely no sense to me whatsover...
Just thought I would reply and put it in new posts
(and say hello of course)

What sport are you talking about?
Get the tickets against the Tigers. The Mariners are awful, and going to the last game of the season really doesn't mean much.
I think it's American baseball, Sarah.
They seem to have lots of teams with words like "Sox" or "skins" in their titles
Doesn't make much sense to us Ukers I'm afraid. What's wrong with
The Chicago baseball team for example?

We have two baseball teams in Chicago, and there is a bit of a rivalry between the fans of each of the teams. You can be a White Sox fan or a Cubs fan not many people will say they like both teams equally.
JB, I agree with Slappy, get the Tigers tickets.
Well, if slappy and sublime both say Tigers, that's my vote too.
Damn I read that differently the first time, I think I have to enable my hotmail tabs or something.
Thanks guys, now I need to pick seats. I'm looking at options from season's ticket holders who are selling their individual game tickets back through the White Sox. They get to name their own prices so there's little rhyme or reason to the pricing.
The seating scheme is single letters closest, followed by double letters, followed by numbers. The options I'm considering are all lowest level box seats including:
Box 125 Row 18 (behind visitor's dugout, along first base line)
Box 127 Row 27 (closer to home plate, further back, $10 cheaper/ticket than above)
Box 147 Row 29 (third base line, about 1/3 way down the outfield, $30 cheaper than Box 125)
Box 113 Row 27 (first base line, about 2/3 way down the outfield, $100 less than box 125)
There are other choices available that are much more expensive or in the nosebleed sections but these are the ones within my price range. Thoughts? Thanks!
its his birthday.
i say get the one's behind the dugout...

HA! That would be my choice, but what do I know. My reasoning is this...the majority of players are right handed, if they aren't switch hitters, you will be able to see them batting while at home, sitting on the first baseline, versus looking at their backs on third.
Got 'em.
Sept 19th, Sox vs Tigers, we'll be behind the Tigers dugout. Hopefully the Sox will still be in the running for the playoffs at that point.
