TTH - sorry I wasn't there to help ... I've been thru most disaster scenarios: Floods, earthquake, fire, tornado, hurricane and typhoon. Hopefully the rains have subsided a little and the news you are getting is more helpful. I got so stressed just reading your posts that my "balls fell <off. Laughing Maybe I can find them and reattach if I learn you're OK!

Mornin' Coon Very Happy

Note for Horsie ... found the pic and will email you t'nite

I am here now. Hardly slept. It is still coming down hard and the news just said our area is going to get worse for the next couple of hours.

My friend called. People risked their lives and swam to her car and got her out. The helicopters I heard last night was the Coast Guard and we now have the National Guard here too. It was a good thing the Governor declared the state a disaster as quick as she did because that allows all these resources to come and help.

You sound a bit calmer this a.m. Is your home safe and how near are you to the river?

Thanks for sticking by last night. This is the worse that I know it has ever been. The river is running over the road leading to Orting now. As far as I know that is their only way out. Flu did you here that young man who was hunting in the olympics tried to get out and the water swept his car away?
He didn't make it.

Yeah I checked CNN news for Washington State and they said a 20 yr old elk hunter was swept away in his truck. Everytime there's a flood someone gets that false sense of security from their vehicle and this happens. Rolling Eyes Lucky for your friends daughter there were others nearby. Very Happy
