I am talking to him as I type. He said the bridge is not I repeat not under water. That was a false report that was called in to dispatch. He says that they have guys and girls stationed all over and around checking roads bridges. They have gone to the orting area and they are not under water yet. They (residents) have been notified that they should probably leave and they are helping those that need it to get out. That would be the elderly and sick. I guess red cross is there to help. He said he has never seen the river this bad. It is moving fast and strong but there will be emergency people out all night checking on areas. So, it sounds like we are in very good hands. I asked him why it took so long to make the tv and he said that is just so we can have federal money available (Governor declaring us in this county as a disaster area). It is not the job of the tv or reporters to inform the residents. I guess they (him) as part of emergency disaster response- it is their job to contact the media if they feel the need to. They have to go out and assess things by car, foot and air. So, our county is in good hands with highly trained people out there. Don't have to worry so much now. Thanks for sticking by.
