@cicerone imposter,
We had temps in the mid-high 50's two days ago. The temps are zooming up and down to a ridiculous extent.

@ehBeth,
When we lived in Naperville, IL, when I worked for Florsheim Shoe Company, we once had snow in April.
I love our climate in Northern California even though it's a little boring.
Our low is 40 and our high is 77.

@cicerone imposter,
yeh but the dirty secret is that its a hot desert from June through October.
I remember driving I-5 far north as I felt like going and it was still over 105 degrees out.

@farmerman,
We live in Sunnyvale which is closer to the coast, and we get the breeze blowing in from San Francisco, because the bay stretches down almost all the way down our way. We're in a valley between two mountain ranges between SF and San Jose.
I lived in Sacramento for most of my childhood, and we used to work out on the farms during the summer months. All my siblings still live in the valley between Sacramento and Elk Grove. All close by highway 5. I remember harvesting hops when it was close to 115 degrees. We used to sit in the shade often, because we rode on crow's nest on the back of flatbeds cutting down the hop vines in the hot sun.
Those experiences made us motivated to get a college degree. LOL

@ehBeth,
It has been the hottest March on records here in Germany - today perhaps a "real summer day" (temperature above 25°C, yesterday it was only 23.5°C)

February was one of the warmest on record, March is set to be cooler by a few degrees. Apparently there are very few times that has occurred here.

Today is just basically a lousy weather day with gusts of wind and a rather dreary, steady rain. 2:20 p.m. and 41°F, 5°C and 500.something R (Rankine)

@Sturgis,
Winter Storm Theseus will gloss over NYC snowwise but we'll be hit rain wise.

@Region Philbis,
I know the feeling RP. Rain was heavy this a.m. and relatively cool after the scorching last week. Not expected to go past 80° until Friday or Saturday (that's if the current forecast holds, which with these forecasting ninnies doesn't seem likely).

Official snowfall total at Logan Airport from yesterday's storm: 5.8 inches, most of which are in our driveway.
