@Butrflynet,
A marvellous sunny weekend - but actually too warm for this time of the year!

@Lordyaswas,
We had a little rain today, and I'm thankful for every little drop. We'll save a little water from people not watering their gardens/grass.

@Region Philbis,
We had had last year quite a bit of snow as well - but by far not as much!

This morning, two neighbours were ... lawn mowing, today November 20! Shocked

@Region Philbis,
Well, since the Christmas Markets open these days .... could mail some of your snow? Margarita and Piña Colada instead of gluehwein-weather here ... (well, nearly)

@George,
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 orange
10 whole cloves
1 (750 milliliter) bottle red wine

In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer.
Cut the orange in half, and squeeze the juice into the simmering water. Push the cloves into the outside of the orange peel, and place peel in the simmering water. Continue simmering for 30 minutes, until thick and syrupy.
Pour in the wine, and heat until steaming but not simmering. Remove the clove-studded orange halves. Serve hot in Christmas market mugs or any other

@Region Philbis,
Weather changes here all the time, Region. Right now it's cold but sunny.

Incidentally, do you ever hear from Robert Gentle? I know he loves Billy Holiday. Just played it for him on the radio. Do you have any requests to warm all of us up?

@ehBeth,
I've decided not to change the tires this year - the first time in more than 40 years - and no snowy and/or icy time in sight so far.

@Region Philbis,
Seriously? Not to sound like on old fart...'why in my day' (was from Boston) but..why are they cancelling school if there's no snow or ice?

@Ragman,

Quote:
Boston Public Schools will be closed on Thursday because of the cold and windy weather conditions, the city said Wednesday night.

“Out of an abundance of caution we have decided to cancel school tomorrow due to extreme weather conditions,” Mayor Marty Walsh said in a statement. “Wind chill temperatures could drop below -20 during morning bus pick up and it is not worth the risk to our children and families.”

@Region Philbis,
Gee, thanks......

Let's see now.....Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday......

I can look forward to freezing my undercarriage off and having to superglue my toupee on around Tuesday next week then.

Thanks Boston. Can't you send a heatwave over here for a change?
