True, but it's still flippin' hot. A 15 minute walk a few blocks away was hellish.

Today, such as it was, was indeed better than yesterday. Tomoorow is supposed to have lower humidity, but it's supposed to spike back up on friday.

It's been relatively warm in Silicon Valley the past week or so, and the forecast is for more warm weather.

Sticky. The western slopes of the middle Appalachians are sticky. With thunderstorms that last just long enough to add to the stickiness.

Full moon tonight, a real close one---sky is clear right now. Think I'll go on a bike ride.

we currently have a wind chill factor...

aaaahhhh, well, the wind is feeling verra nice (I was just noticing). It's what's cooling off the near 90 and humid daytime temps.

Rita's projected path: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at3+shtml/145605.shtml?5day?large

Weather Channel Hurricane Central: http://www.weather.com/newscenter/tropical/?from=lap_newslinker

Quote:
... it is almost a certainty that Rita will make landfall as a large, intense, major hurricane with impacts extending well away from the center. Hurricane force winds extend 70 miles away from the center and tropical storm force winds extend 185 miles from the center. Landfall is possible late Friday or early Saturday along the Texas coast.

Ai yi yi, here we go again. I hope mac11, PDiddie and our other Lone Star State friends are all okay.

Happy Autumnal Equinox, everyone.

PS We need four more hurricanes this year, so that we can have, I kid you not, Hurricane Wilma! http://www.christa.org/wilmasolo.gif

I wish it was actual snow, but it's more of a damp, wet, white rain. Besides having the idiotic idea to go out for a walk, I don't mind it so much.
