Ellinas, are you an Olimpiacos or AEK fan?

None of these. I support Panathinaikos.

Sorry for the late response, how do they fare on the Greek League?

Right now Panathinaikos is 2nd after Olympiakos and AEK is 6th. However only 4 matchdays are played.

Even if our position is good, our form is bad right now as they were many mistakes in the summer time preparing - our coach was sacked a few days ago since they were riots against him and the team's owner after a dissapointing result for the UEFA cup. We are now looking for a new coach. I hope the situation clears soon.

Personally, I was surprised by the two first result. I did not expect Real and Lyon to win with a big difference. Especially Real Madrid since they are in a terrible form - and Dinamo is not a weak team.

Lyon proved they're a very talented team that plays great together last match. So I was not surprised by the result.

Real Madrid well, they've been terribly unconsistent so far in the season, so this result I didn't expect but it's not as surprising.

Draw for the last 16 made today, hope you don't mind Ellinas. Smile

Porto v Chelsea
Celtic v AC Milan
PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal
Lille v Manchester United
Roma v Lyon
Barcelona v Liverpool Smile
Real Madrid v Bayern Munich
Inter Milan v Valencia

(Ties to be played on 20/21 February and 6/7 March)

Barca - Liverpool should be a spectacle to behold if we can keep it close for the 1st leg, Anfield will hopefully be rocking 6/7 March. Hugely tough tie though, has to be said.

You can take on the update of this thread if you want. I don't have great interest for the CL this year since my club is not there. I will focus on the UEFA cup thread Smile .

I'm not sure if anybody is bothered or if those who were have searched elsewhere but what the hell, I enjoyed one result in particular, no prizes for which one given my location...

---------------------------------------

Results for the 1st Leg of the 2nd Round for Uefa Champions League

Tuesday, 20 February

Celtic 0-0 Milan
PSV 1-0 Arsenal
Lille 0-1 Manchester United
Real Madrid 3-2 Bayern Munich

Wednesday, 21 February

Roma 0-0 Lyon
Barcelona 1-2 Liverpool
Porto 1-1 Chelsea
Internazionale 2-2 Valencia

---------------------------------------

I'm guessing Milan, Arsenal, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Lyon, Chelsea and Valencia will go through (I hope Liverpool will, I also hope for another brilliant atmosphere at Anfield to fit the occasion). Celtic and PSV look like causing possible "upsets" in all fairness though.

The 2nd leg for this round is to be played Tuesday/Wednesday, 6th/7th March, next week in other words, looks exciting! I'll post the results here a tad quicker this time... Razz
