I'm dedicating this song to a few.....who shall remain nameless..... Embarrassed

B. B. King ~ You Don't Know Me

You give your hand to me
and then you say hello
and I can hardly speak
my heart is beating so

And anyone can tell
you think you know me well
but you don't know me

No, you don't know the one
who dreams of you at night
and longs to kiss your lips
and longs to hold you tight

To you I'm just a friend
that's all I've ever been
no, you don't know me

But, I never knew
the art of making love
though my heart aches with love for you

Afraid and shy
I let my chance go by
the chance that you might love me, too

You give your hand to me
and then you say goodbye
I watch you walk away
beside the lucky guy

You'll never ever know
the one who loved you so
no, you don't know me.

CAUTION: Strong language, but this Adam Sandler classic is for Slappy:

"At A Medium Pace"

Put your arms around me baby
Can't you see I need you so
Hold me close against your skin
I'm about to begin
Lovin' you

Spit on your hand and stroke my cock
At a medium pace
Play with my balls and tell me
How big they are
Honey, rub your beaver
Up and down my face
Sit on the corner of the bed
And watch me whack off

You see that shampoo bottle
Now stick it up my ass
Push it in and out
At a medium pace
Talk about your old boyfriend's dick
And how big it was
Now shave off my pubes
And punch me in the face

Whoa darlin'
Make me push my dick and balls
Back between my legs
Call me an ugly woman
And take my picture to show
All the people you work with

Now pull up my scrotum
And take the shampoo bottle
Out of my ass
Pretend I'm the pizza delivery guy
And watch me whack off

Strap on a dildo
And make me give you head
Tell me to slow down
And do it at a medium pace
I feel so humiliated
I'm about to blow my load
You tell me it's time to make love
But now I can't
'Cause I spewed all over myself
Then you look into my eyes
And you realize
How much I enjoy lovin' you

I'm so sorry I spunked on my stomach
Maybe next time I'll be better at lovin' you

I still watch Carousel about once a year. Likewise, My Fair Lady.

Here's one for joannedorel:

To everything turn turn turn
There is a season turn turn turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven ......

This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard! If you haven't heard it yet, be sure to search for it. It is sung by Sarah MacLachlan.

I Love You

I have a smile
stretched from ear to ear
to see you walking down the road

we meet at the lights
I stare for a while
the world around disappears

just you and me
on this island of hope
a breath between us could be miles

let me surround you
my sea to your shore
let me be the calm you seek

oh and every time I'm close to you
there's too much I can't say
and you just walk away

and I forgot
to tell you
I love you
and the night's
too long
and cold here
without you
I grieve in my condition
for I cannot find the strength to say I need you so

oh and every time I'm close to you
there's too much I can't say
and you just walk away

and I forgot
to tell you
I love you
and the night's
too long
and cold here
without you

Thanks for the "Stars . . ." It should be the state song, but isn't.

Mr. Sinatra is greatly missed by those of us who thought him among the greatest singers of the 20th century.

Maybe he's watching us both right now from his heavenly position beyond the "Stars."

R. Rodgers and O. Hammerstein II

When you walk through the storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark

Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

There ya go Booman!

Thanks, Letty, but a better choice would be "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning!" (from "Oklahoma", which is where I am, not Texas...but still most definitely, and unfortunately, "Bush Country.")

Another Rodgers & Hammerstein classic...

Oh what a beautiful morning,
Oh what a beautiful day,
I've got a wonderful feeling,
Everything's going my way!

Ah, Rae. I love that. I think Ray Charles also did it.

And for you Rae:

Somewhere beyond the sea
somewhere waiting for me
my lover stands on golden sands
and watches the ships that go sailin
Somewhere beyond the sea
she's there watching for me
If I could fly like birds on high
then straight to her arms
I'd go sailing
It's far beyond the stars
it's near beyond the moon
I know beyond a doubt
my heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet beyond the shore
we'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
and never again I'll go sailing
I know beyond a doubt
my heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet (I know we'll meet) beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
and never again I'll go sailing
no more sailing
so long sailing
bye bye sailing...

Sung and swung by Bobby Darin

Letty, oops, do I have to dedicate it to someone? I haven't met him yet, he's coming over the horizon, and he's my man!

The other "Misty" tune I like is "Misty Blue" ... sniff, sniff ...........

Ah, Misti, we were dedicating songs to other A2K'ers, but if you like, he may remain nameless Smile Perhaps I had better change my dedication to you:

Beyond the blue horizon
Waits a beautiful day
Goodbye to things that bore me
Joy is waiting for me

I see a new horizon
My life has only begun
Beyond the blue horizon
Lies a rising sun

Beyond the blue horizon
Waits a beautiful day
Goodbye to things that bore me
Joy is waiting for me

I see a new horizon
My life has only beguin
Beyond the blue horizon
Lies a rising sun

Beyond the blue horizon
Lies a rising sun.

Cav, I can see why you would think of Slappy. Who is Adam Sandler? Rolling Eyes

Adam Sandler is an American comic (started on Saturday Night Live) who now gets paid gross amounts of money to write, direct and star in really bad comedy films. He has his moments, but in the end, his humour caters to the base and juvenile. He had a wonderful role in the movie 'Punch Drunk Love', but he also had a really good director, and a really good script, and he was just an actor in it, thank heaven.

Letty ~ a few artists have done 'You Don't Know Me', but I'm not sure who originally wrote/sang it. I have three versions ~ Ray Charles (my favourite), B. B. King and Ottmar Liebert.

I really, really, really love that song.
