Dys.. These r also important ...

Fingerprints did not mean much to the people at the Prophet's time. One of the basic indications of this verse may refer to the patterns of lines on man's fingertips. There may be other indications, according to which all the characteristics of our body are encoded on our fingertips. It could be implied that during our re-creation all the particularities and features of our body will be restored, so it may be that what lies on our fingertips, apparently of little significance, will be sufficient for this process. The reason why fingertips are given as example is the general acceptance that they are simple things of not much worth. Nevertheless, even the seemingly insignificant tip of a finger is a data bank, thanks to which the entire body may be re-fashioned. DNA is one of the most important discoveries in human history.

At the time of the descent of the Quran, fingertips had nothing special about them. God, who will cause man to come back to life on the Day of Judgment, stresses the importance of fingertips....

I touched you once too often
Now I don't know who I am
My fingerprints were missing
When I wiped away the jam

Yes I called my fingerprints all night
But they don't seem to care
The last time that I saw them
They were leafing through your hair

Fingerprints, fingerprints
Where are you now my fingerprints?

Yeah I thought I'd leave this morning
So I emptied out your drawer
A hundred thousand fingerprints
They floated to the floor

You know you hardly stopped to pick them up
You don't care what you lose
Ah you don't even seem to know
Whose fingerprints are whose

Fingerprints, fingerprints
Where are you now my fingerprints?

And now you want to marry me
You want to take me down the aisle
You want to throw confetti fingerprints
You know that's not my style

O sure I'd like to marry you
But I can't face the dawn
With any girl who knew me
When my fingerprints were on

Fingerprints, fingerprints
Where are you now my fingerprints?

Fingerprints, oh fingerprints
Where are you now my fingerprints?

Very nice post Dys.

People talk with their fingers.

The fingers make signs that have meaning.

In the end life will all become perfect geometry.

Like our fingerprints.

Who says Hell is such a bad place? That's the place with all the loose women, swinging rock bands and hot nigtclubs. What's in Heaven? Piped in Harp music?

In the Bible what is hell defined as and what must one do to be consigned to fire and brimstone for eternity?

Does the out in the world "Hollywood" definition of hell match the true definition of hell in the Bible?

What is the unforgivable sin?
Hell is the common grave of mankind. We all go there. As Solomon said.
Quote:
For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 9:5,6)
Were it a place of torture, God would have told Adam and Eve at the onset, before they sinned. Fire and brimstone is a Pagan belief.

The unforgivable sin, or "blasphemy against the spirit", as Jesus related in Matthew 12:31, is well explained by Paul in Hebrews 10: 26,27: "For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left, 27 but [there is] a certain fearful expectation of judgment and [there is] a fiery jealousy that is going to consume those in opposition."

The body returns to the earth, the soul returns to the air and the spirit goes to the grave (hell).

The only person who has EVER left the grave spiritually is Christ Jesus.

Everyone who has ever died otherwise is ASLEEP in hell (the grave).

The only "heaven" available today is actually here on earth right now if people look for it spiritually.

At some point "every" single person in the grave (hell) will be awoken again.

Some "rewarded" and some "judged".

Then, evil and death will be overcome and become dust.

This will be when heaven and paradise (they are two different places) will return.

This kingdom will never end.

Some of what you said may be true, Rex. Could you season it with a few citations?

Maybe, maybe not.

It is good at least to know what the book really says and means rather than living in "Hollywood" land.

How can you knock a book you have failed to understand correctly anyway?

I have read your Bible. I understand where you are coming from. With you it's all emotional preaching and no thought to what's possible. You may use whatever language you choose and it will still be the level of a five year old, understanding wise.
