interesting - the okapi looks like a misbegotten zebra. I can't link the photo because right click doesn't work with my new computer (yet).

It would be more giraffe-like if it were truely spotted.

Looks they the have a good bit of meat on 'em. Wunner what they taste like. Couldn't find any recipes - s'pose you'd cook it up like just about any other grazing game.

Osso, what sorta computer do you have?

New imac desktop, Timber. Whatta lemon. I'm going to send it back with a long list of whines any day now.

On the mouse and clicking, I've switched mice, still doesn't do it.

The okapi's front legs look a bit giraffey to me....

This is coincidental, as a new breed of Giraffe has recently been discovered in Somalia.

Apparently, it is by far the tallest Giraffe on record, beating the previous record by quite a margin.
It is quite elusive, but was photographed by a spotter plane, circling at 1500 feet.

There's a South-African restaurant in Amsterdam, Pygma-Lion, that serves zebra..

Havent tried it, though my friend took the crocodile and it tasted quite good.

I love crocodile. It is flaky like fish yet tastes a little of chicken.

I guess I assume people eat zebras, what with hunger being what it is. I just haven't heard about it before. Which brings up giraffes... do people eat giraffes?

Osso, did you know that male giraffes have hydraulics?

At least, I THINK that's what a zooologist once told me.

Yes indeed, that's how low-riders get over speed bumps.
