Will be meeting Margo in 2 hrs time !!! But stupid old me, I forgot my camera at home (and not to mention that I picked up the wrong keys - and had to get the maintenace guys to come and open my office) - so unless Margo has a camera, I am afraid no pics this time !!!

And horror of all horrors, my secy pointed out some time ago, that I have a couple of buttons missing from the sleeve of my blazer

But hey, so what - me and Margo will have a great time - this pseudo brit will keep the London flag flying high for our cousins from down under !!!!!

It was fab !!!!

Margo is one of the lovliest and most alive people I have met. What is really attractive abt her is her ability to laugh easily, and openly. When she laughs, her whole face lights up - it is a genuine laugh, not the forced one which I so often encounter at my jokes !!!

As ususal, I was a bit late in reaching the venue, but this time it was the trains to London that fu**ed up !!! The place was nice, but was very quiet. I was joking abt an intimate venue, and intimate it turned out to be, as we seemed to be the only 2 people in the dining room. The food was also not much to speak abt (I strongly suspect that Margo must have had something to eat as well after dinner - and poor her could not get a dessert of her choice). Lesson learned: When inviting someone for the first time - check out the place beforehand !!

But even the average food (but dam fine margerita's and excellent service) could not keep us from yakking non stop for a couple of hours (though it was me who talked most of the time, I am such a chatterbox). We talked abt almost everything, and would have gone on late into night, had I not had to come in at 0700 today morning to prepare for a breakfast meeting (in 15 mins) with my Director who is visiting from NY (why are Americans so fond of breakfast meetings I wonder ??)

Margo is lovely - I wish we had more time together - but there is always hope for the future !!!
