Hello everyone.I want to know what do eastern people have for breakfast.
what habits do they have in having breakfast? This is a very urgent request .Thank you.
"Eastern" should include India & Indians.
So I have a thin flat pancake made up of wheat flour, ghee called Roti. It sometimes has stuffed vegetables like tomatoes, potatoes, spinach or simple coriander. It is called as Paratha. It mostly goes with sauce, chutney or yogurt.
Sometimes the wheat flour is replaced with rice flour and is fermented overnight to make South Indian pancake called Idli or Dosa. It must be eaten with a curry called Rassam or Sambhar or a coconut chutney.
Then a beverage like milk, tea or coffee would be nice.
Fascinating as always, vinsan.

What are in these?
Joe(this all makes my shredded wheat seem pathetically bland)Nation
Sorry for replying late JN
Rassam or Sambhar are 2 types of South Indian vegetable curries. They have special spices, vegetables like Brinjal, Tomatoes, Onions. Rassam is watery whereas Sambhar is usually thick. They are damn tasty
